Consequently, there were quite a lot of cleaning up to do and to be honest I got so fed up in the end, I didn't even bother to fill in all the air bubbles. With all those cracks and details, it was also a bit of a challenge to undercoat the walls. However, I think they turned out pretty decent after all, especially once they were finished off in my usual basing style.
A picture of the whole set laid out:
The longest parts are approximately 160 mm long (approx. 6.4 inches), and the overall height is 22 mm.
A close-up of the parts of ruined walls:
To give a sense of scale/size, I let my Saxons pose for some action shots:
More Saxons in action:
I think the walls will be a nice addition to our terrain set-up. As I said, they're quite versatile, which is always a good thing of course.
Finally, the same shot as above but from a different angle:
Oh, right – bonus points for those of you who can spot the musical reference (without googling it!) in the title of this post ...
Thanks for looking!
Very nice indeed Jonas!
ReplyDeleteWill we see those at the club sone?
No musikal knowledge...
Thanks Michael!
DeleteYeah, I'll bring them the next time I'm going to the club.
I really like them Jonas! I have been thinking of making some walls like these for a while, maybe it's time I made a start!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rodger!
DeleteThe Jam? or Style Council, nice work anyway my friend!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those, yes. :)
DeleteThanks by the way!
Was the reference "Joshua fit the battle of Jericho"? (Sunday school flashback)
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Sunday school in Sweden, or at least I didn't go to one, so that's not the reference I'm afraid ...
DeleteBeautiful, love these pieces of terrain...
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil!
DeleteVery nice! In particular I like how you made them sit on the table with your excellent basing.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally I've been looking to expand our sets of stone walls too.
Good sets seem hard to find.
Thanks Mattias!
DeleteIt's a shame about the air bubbles, otherwise I would recommend these – as it is though, I really can't, however nice they look painted up.
I REALLY like these. Its an old style wall, made up of stones pulled from the farmer's field. Thanks for the link because I'm going to look these over for myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks Monty!
DeleteNice worn looking walls!
