Dark Ages Saxons 6

This week I have finished the second unit of gedrihts for my Saxon warband for Dux Britanniarum.

The miniatures are mainly from Musketeer Miniatures with one model from West Wind mixed in for a bit of variety (the miniature with the blue cloak in the pictures).

Shield transfers, as usual, from the great Little Big Men Studios. The shields are in the same style as the other unit's to set them both apart as elites.

This is the final regular unit for this warband, and all that's left to paint now are a couple of characters.

Thanks for reading, have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Lovely looking unit with skilled painting and careful work in basing it as well. Must be rewarding to see the project nearing the finish line. Looking forward to see the complete war band.

    1. Cheers Michael!

Of course it's time for a campaign of Dux Brit – it's been far too long since we saw some proper Dark Ages action. I'm eagerly awaiting the Raiders book too, then I can field my Picts as well. It would be interesting to try a multi-faction campaign.

    1. Thanks Monty!

If you had read my plans for 2014 (http://conflictofinterests.blogspot.se/2014/01/projects-for-2014.html) you would know the answer to your question! ;)

Just kidding! Next up after the Saxons are some mixed stuff: casualty markers, some wagons, some small terrain projects (walls, fences etc). After this I'll probably start on the Italian Wars project.
